St. Barnabas’ Church

The church is situated in South-East Edinburgh; it is easily accessible by public and private transport. There is a large (free!) car-park next to the church.

You are warmly invited to join us in worship.

Holy Communion is celebrated at 2.30 pm on the first Sunday of each month, and at 10.30 am on all other Sundays.

On the first Wednesday of each month Holy Communion is celebrated at 12.30 pm; on all other Wednesdays there is a Prayer Service at 12.30 pm. For full details see the What’s On section of this web-site.

Our Rector, Revd. David Dixon, is supported by two assistant Priests: Revd. Alice Anderson and Revd. Deryck Collingwood.

St. Barnabas’ provides  many additional services for the community. The Rector is Chaplain to both Erskine Care Home and Gilmerton Care Home. We work with two local primary schools, and in partnership with other churches and Christian organisations in the area to provide help and support in the community, including the local food-bank.

We are a member of South-East Edinburgh Churches Acting Together (SEECAT) that organises a number of events throughout the year.  For more details see
